Prof. Ramesh Kumar Mishra, Head, Centre for Neural and Cognitive Sciences, School of Medical Sciences, University of Hyderabad has received two prestigious International Visiting awards for the year 2020.
He has been awarded the Duo-India Professor fellowship award which facilitates international exchange of professors between Indian and European institutes. Under this scheme, Prof. Ramesh Mishra and Prof. Niels Schiller from Leiden University, The Netherlands will visit each other’s institutes for a period of one month each in 2020. The faculties will be engaged in teaching and research during their visits which is expected to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Prof. Mishra has also been awarded the Shastri mobility programme by the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute to visit Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. The program allows mobility of Indian scholars to renowned institutes in Canada. He will be hosted by Prof. Aaron Newman, Chair, Department of Psychology & Neuroscience and Prof. Raymond Klein. During his visit, Prof. Mishra will be teaching a course to the students at Dalhousie University and also engage in collaborative research with Prof. Newman and Prof. Klein.
